Vukana exists because finding a real event worth showing up for shouldn't mean scrolling through five WhatsApp groups and hoping the flyer isn't fake.
Vukana started with a simple frustration: the events happening around Kenya — the good ones, the ones actually worth your evening — were scattered across group chats, screenshots, and word of mouth. Nothing brought them into one place you could actually trust.
So we built one. Every event on Vukana is organized the way people here actually think about their plans — by county, by category, by what kind of night they're after — and every listing is checked by a real person before it ever goes public. No bots, no spam, no ghost events.
We're starting in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Kiambu, and Uasin Gishu, with more counties joining as our organizer community grows.

Building their audience
To make finding a real, worthwhile event in Kenya as easy as it should've always been — and to give the people organizing those events a trustworthy place to reach the people looking for them.
The principles behind every decision we make.
Every event on Vukana is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. No spam listings, no ghost events — what you see is worth showing up for.
Organized around the counties and categories people here actually use to think about events — not a template borrowed from somewhere else.
Discovering events needs no account. Organizing takes one honest application — no gatekeeping beyond making sure it's a real event.
Fast, accessible, and built to scale — light and dark themes, quick search, and an architecture designed to grow with the platform, not against it.
All kinds of nights, all in one place.
We're just getting started
Organizer and attendee stories will live here soon. If Vukana has worked well for you, we'd genuinely love to hear about it.
